The LA CSR BOARD has not received 198 license renewals for 2010. It is imperative that you send your renewal of a minimum of $90 with one seal, $105 with 2 seals and $120 with 3 seals to the Board Office as soon as possible. If you do not have your license renewed on or before December 31, 2009, then you will automatically become suspended and will not be eligible to work as a Certified Court Reporter until your license has been renewed. A late fee of $15.00 will be added to your renewal if it is received by the Board Office after January 10, 2010. If you did not mail a current Status Report to the Board Office, then please go to our website at www.lacourtreporterboard.com go to Important Forms, print the Status Report, complete and mail.

Continuing Education News

Many of you are already aware that there is a new Continuing Education requirement which will take effect on January 1, 2010. Under Chapter 6: Continuing Education, section 603 A.

Beginning January 1, 2010, two of the required 12 continuing education credits shall be instructions pertaining to court reporting ethics awareness.

The stamp company will be closed from December 24, 2009 thru Friday, January 1, 2010.  Orders placed after December 18th will not be created until they return on January 4, 2010. There is a seven day turnaround from the date they receive the order.
