ETHICS CREDIT NOTICE

The Louisiana Board of Examiners of Certified Shorthand Reporters (“CSR Board”) discussed at its February 19, 2010 meeting the implementation of the required continuing education ethics credits.  The CSR Board agreed that anyone who has not obtained two C. E. credits in Louisiana Ethics for the current two-year cycle will not be liable. However, the requirement will be in full force and effect for the 2011-2012 C. E. cycle.

Realtime Certification:
Realtime certification is a requirement for employment as a new official court reporter in the Eastern District of
Louisiana, unless the pool of candidates is too limited by this requirement under which circumstances an exception may be considered by the Court. If an exception is necessary, realtime certification is required within twenty-four (24) months of hiring. Desired: Certificate of Merit by the NCRA
